Governor Stefan Ingves, Chair, Toronto Centre for Global Leadership in Financial Supervision, is pleased to announce the board appointment of Jennifer Elliott. 

Ms. Elliott is an Advisor in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She is responsible for the coordination of the financial sector and central banking policy and surveillance in the Asia Pacific and Europe, as well as the work on fragile and conflicted-affected states. She has held various roles in the department, most recently as the head of the technical assistance program.

Previously, she was employed at the Ontario Securities Commission, the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Ms. Elliott holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from the University of Victoria, British Columbia.

Established in 1998, Toronto Centre is a non-profit organization that promotes financial stability and financial inclusion by building the capacity of financial supervisors and regulators. Toronto Centre receives institutional support from Global Affairs Canada, Sida, and the IMF.
