15th Regional Leadership Programme for Securities Regulators Co-organised by the Monetary Authority

The MAS Academy is partnering with Toronto Centre to conduct the virtual edition of the 15th Regional Leadership Programme for Securities Regulators on August 19, and August 23 - August 27, 2021 (Singapore Time Zone, GMT 8).

Program Overview

Designed for senior and upper-middle level regulators/supervisors in the Asia Pacific region, the programme will focus on developing participants’ capability to implement change in their organisations effectively, make difficult decisions in a timely manner, and deal with stakeholders. It will use the Toronto Centre’s action planning methodology and mini case-study approach, complemented with case-studies from Asia.  The Programme will also cover important issues arising from the financial crisis, such as regulatory failures, and the need for more robust corporate governance.

Participants will be:

  • Challenged with regulatory issues arising from case-studies of real-life events
  • Trained in the Toronto Centre Action Planning Process to deal with the problems posed
  • Equipped with skills to make difficult decisions quickly and to deal with the stakeholders in their jurisdictions
  • Participating in interactive role-playing activities with distinguished programme leaders
  • Networking with their peers from the Asia-Pacific region
  • Gaining insight from highly experienced regulators

Medium of instruction

The programme will be conducted in English.

Registration details

There is no course fee.

This programme will be conducted virtually over ZOOM. Accepted participants can join the programme from any venue with internet connectivity, and a laptop / desktop that is compatible with ZOOM.

One or two representatives from each institution are encouraged to attend. Please apply early (space is limited). Registration deadline is Friday, August 6, 2021.
