The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) has been promoting the alignment of Insurance Core Principles (ICPs) with efforts to promote inclusiveness of insurance markets. The need for proportionality in regulation processes, improved access to insurance services, and consumer protection is pressing upon insurance regulators and supervisors. These challenges are addressed by the Application Paper on Regulation and Supervision Supporting Inclusive Insurance Markets.
