Climate Risk Regional Program Co-Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore

The MAS Academy is partnering with Toronto Centre to conduct the virtual edition of the Climate Risk Regional Program for Banking and Securities Regulators on December 6 – December 10, 2021 (Singapore Time Zone, GMT 8).

Program Overview

This program is designed for senior and upper-middle level regulators/supervisors across the banking and securities sectors in the Asia-Pacific region. It will focus on the steps regulators can take to understand and mitigate climate-related and other environmental risks on the financial system. The program will also cover existing and emerging standards and tools, and will use the Toronto Centre’s mini case-study approach and climate risk toolkit to develop proposals for actions in response to climate-related risks.

Participants will be:

  • Challenged with climate-related issues arising from case-studies and group activities
  • Applying the Climate Risk Supervisory Toolkit developed for COP26 to identify and manage climate-related and other environmental risks
  • Participating in interactive group activities with distinguished program leaders
  • Networking with their peers from the Asia-Pacific region through virtual group discussions
  • Gaining insight from highly experienced regulators

The program will be conducted in English.

Registration details

This is a regional program for senior and upper-middle level banking and securities regulators/supervisors from Asia-Pacific. Registration for this program is by invitation only.

Registration deadline is Friday, November 5, 2021. Please apply early (space is limited), and the outcome of the registration will be made known before Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

There is no course fee.

This program will be conducted virtually over ZOOM. Accepted participants can join the program from any venue with internet connectivity, and a laptop / desktop that is compatible with ZOOM.
