Workshop Objectives and Methodology

This workshop is designed to impart a comprehensive perspective on the origin and drivers of various information technology (IT) risks as well as the identification and assessment of these risks and issues. The training includes a review of industry practices on IT Governance to manage and mitigate the IT risks and challenges. More importantly, the training provides a comprehensive understanding of prudential regulatory and supervisory practices that are aligned with international standards and helps participants to appreciate the forces that are disrupting the role, structure and competitive environment for financial institutions and the markets in which they operate.

This is a highly interactive program and through the use of real-life case studies on information security, cybercrime and cyber security, IT outsourcing, business continuity management practices, risks underlying data integrity, emerging fintech risks and attendant risks, it aims to provide participants with a deeper appreciation of the opportunities and challenges for central banks in managing technology risk.

Medium of instruction

The program will be conducted in English with no translation provided.

Target audience

The program is designed for middle-to-senior level supervisors engaged in the supervisory oversight of information technology and related operational risks.
