A Two-Week Course in Financial Regulation and Supervision
This core curriculum program aims to provide a comprehensive foundation in the fundamental principles and best practices of regulation and supervision. The course will address supervisory issues faced by supervisors of the banking, insurance, pensions and securities industries, and builds graduates' capacity to provide effective practical leadership in their agencies. Designed and delivered by former senior supervisors, the course will utilise Toronto Centre’s proven interactive approach to learning through the extensive use of group activities and case studies.

· Operational and liquidity risks supervision
· Conduct risk supervision
· Corporate governance
· Internal controls
· Anti-money laundering and countering terrorist financing

· Macroprudential surveillance
· Consolidated and conglomerate supervision
· Cross-border supervisory cooperation
· Problem institutions, recovery planning and resolution
This course will be taught by Toronto Centre program directors and program leaders who have a wealth of highly relevant experience to share with participants in order to help them carry out their work in line with international best practices and to address challenges that they may encounter in their supervisory and regulatory work. Who Should Attend?
The program is designed for mid- to senior-level staff and managers involved in regulatory and supervisory activities. Participants should have at least three years of working experience in financial sector supervision, analysis, or policy, and be proficient in English.

Where is the Program?
The program will be held downtown Toronto at the Vantage Venues.
Participants are invited to take part in a complimentary sightseeing tour of the world-renowned Niagara Falls on Sunday, April 19, 2020. This will be a good opportunity for participants to network with peers while experiencing the thundering roar and powerful mist of the falls up close.
