Toronto Centre’s international program for banking supervisors examines the challenges and risks for banking supervisors arising from market developments (fintech), environmental developments (climate change-related financial risks) and regulatory developments (resolution). The program addresses what good supervision should look like in response to these challenges, and the implications of this for the leaders of supervisory authorities.
The program also covers one of the hallmarks of Toronto Centre programs: action planning. Through action planning exercises, we equip leaders with the skills they need to achieve continuous improvement. The program will be delivered by Toronto Centre program leaders who have a wealth of experience in financial sector regulation and supervision. They will share their experiences through Toronto Centre’s interactive approach to learning in the form of case studies, group activities, role plays, panel discussions, and action planning exercises.
The program is designed for mid- to senior-level staff and managers involved in banking regulation and supervision. Participants should have at least three years of working experience in banking supervision, analysis, or policy, and be proficient in English.
