Denise Dias is a Toronto Centre program leader specializing in banking, microfinance, retail payments and digital financial services regulation and supervision. Previously, she acted as a Bank and Market Conduct Supervisor in the Central Bank of Brazil and a Senior Financial Sector Specialist at the World Bank, dedicated to assisting financial supervisors introduce regulatory and supervisory reforms to foster financial inclusion. Her experience with financial sector policy, regulation and supervision spans over 25 countries. Denise holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the Birmingham Business School (UK), an MBA in Financial Sector Economics from USP (Brazil), and a bachelor's degree in Business from UFMG (Brazil). She is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and is a seasoned public speaker.
