Program Overview

The Toronto Centre’s mission is to enhance the capacity of financial regulators from around the world to help improve their agency’s crisis preparedness and to promote change that will lead to a more sound and inclusive financial system.

The Toronto Centre offers programs in a highly interactive setting using case studies, presentations, and workshops. Our programs are designed with input from three sectoral advisory boards in banking, insurance and securities that are made up from prominent and well-respected professionals from their fields.

Toronto Centre programs blend theory and practice. They are tailored to the needs of mid-to-senior level financial sector regulators and supervisors, particularly in developing and emerging countries.

  • Regional Programs: take place in various parts of the world and specifically designed to answer the needs of a particular region. These programs are presented jointly with the assistance of regional supervisory groups.

  • Country Programs: on-request programs where country-specific needs have been identified, requiring the development of leadership and technical skills in order to address unique challenges identified by the initiating country.
